Heat Radiation Simulations

Heat transfer is a central phenomenon in the analysis of engineering and scientific systems. From electronics to industrial reactors to mechanical performance, the thermal characteristics of a design must be taken into account. The mechanisms for change in a temperature field are a balance between heat transfer by conduction, convection, and radiation. This webinar will focus specifically on radiation. How is it defined? What circumstances dictate its inclusion into your analysis? Which data are needed to set up a model? We will answer these questions and more, including an example simulation using COMSOL Multiphysics.

Nicolas Huc received his Ph.D. from the University Joseph Fourier in Grenoble, France and joined COMSOL in 2004. He leads the development team in France and is responsible for development of heat transfer interfaces in COMSOL Multiphysics.
