Thermal Management Simulations

Controlling temperatures in a system is a challenge facing device and process design in many industries: chemical, medical, automotive and electronics are a few examples. Systems such as heat exchangers or heat sinks may protect components by cooling them, whereas resistive and induction heating are applied to heat components. In this webinar we demonstrate the application of heat transfer models to thermal management, involving conduction, convection and radiation, as well as multiphysics couplings of heat transfer to flow, mechanics, and electromagnetics. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session.

Dr Edmund Dickinson

Edmund studied chemistry at the University of Oxford from 2004 to 2008. He then continued on for a doctorate at Oxford, researching the charge and mass transfer properties of electrolyte solutions. He joined COMSOL as an application engineer, where he specializes in chemistry, heat transfer and fluid flow.
